Chris Cedrone, LMT, NCTMB

Ancient Wisdom Bodyworks is owned and operated by Chris Cedrone, LMT, NCTMB.

Chris graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Groton, CT and continues to volunteer his services in the local area. He provided on site massage to athletes at the 2005 Para Olympic World Games. Chris remains active within the school by tutoring several students in a variety of subjects (Acupressure being his favorite) and can often be found assisting in the classrooms of the Groton campus.

Chris Cedrone is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Connecticut. He has also passed the comprehensive National Certification Exam (NCE) administered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and is nationally certified (NCTMB). Chris is also a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

Chris practices his own style, which he calls
“Fusion Therapy.” Techniques consisting of Classic Western Massage strokes are seamlessly mixed with traditional Japanese and Chinese therapies having their early roots in China, some of which can be traced back 5,000 years.

This tradition includes the modalities of Korean Sooji Hand Therapy and Acupressure, along with the Traditional 5 Element and 8 Principle Theory styles of diagnosis just to name a few.

He is also continuing his journey towards an Advanced  Level in Shiatsu. He is a certified Journeyman Practitioner of Kosho Shorei Ryu Energetic Medicine under Shihan David LoPriore of A.S.O.M.N.E in East Lyme, CT.

When not working in massage, studying Eastern Bodywork, teaching, tutoring students or assisting classes at CCMT, Chris can be found at home with his daughter Caynna and their Blue Great Dane Savannah Jane (named after Jimmy Buffetts' daughter).

Chris is an avid skateboarder and a self-professed "Beach Bum" who loves listening to Jimmy Buffet & Sublime and spending time with his daughter on Narragansett Beach. He says he wants to finally learn to surf this summer if he can find the time.

Chris' plans for the future (besides learning to surf) include getting nationally certified in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy™ and learning advanced techniques from Lolita Knight in the fall of 2010.
